PACE Media at FIFA World Cup 2010™ in South Africa
Berlin/Johannesburg: Software company PACE Media Development GmbH redemonstrates a closed circuit playout system solution for an information program "Media TV" of the FIFA.
FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010™ takes place in 10 venues. A closed circuit HDTV program offers the press the latest information of the major sport event inside the 10 venues at all times. The FIFA organization committee further relies on CUBA MediaTV HD of the PACE Media Development GmbH from Berlin. The real-time graphics and video server was already used at several major sport events: At UEFA EURO 2008™, at FIFA Final Draw in Cape Town 2009 for World Cup 2010™ and at FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa 2009. CUBA MediaTV HD ensures a smooth communication between the host of the tournament, participating media representatives and the local organization committee – simultaneously at 10 venues.
Furthermore CUBA MediaTV HD acts as an excellent digital archiving system. The recorded video data could be used in this way as verification on demand, if objections were raised against refereeing decisions.
